"The messages from Chief assistant state attorney Cappelman seem to indicate that the 'stakeholders' she consulted may have been agencies outside of law enforcement." Well, duh.
As I pointed out to you on Twitter, a deferred prosecution agreement in Florida requires assent from the victim. In this case the victim was Florida DOH.
Most of the "added" conditions (they actually weren't) benefitted Florida DOH, not the prosecutors or DeSantis. Since the prosecutor won't comment we can't be certain, but it seems extremely likely that those clauses were added at the request of DOH.
Y'know, she could've basically made this all go away by accepting the terms and announcing "I am thrilled that the state has agreed to drop the charges!" without going into the gory details. They wouldn't have been public. Instead she decided to make big DRAMA!!!! out of it.
Well clearly - based on PNJ and your piece that's the end result. I was just wondering if there were any other email communications that indicated that beyond everything that happened this week?
Well since we know Jones is sharing her attorney's emails, per the PNJ piece, maybe you could follow up with her to see if she can share the emails that took place after that Aug 24 response?
"Cappleman told the News Journal she could not comment on plea deal negotiations."
That doesn't really answer the question as to what Jones' lawyers replied to Cappelman's 11-point demands with.... since Jones seems to be happy to share her lawyer's communications, perhaps you could try to find out what they actually wrote back with between Aug 24 and this week?
Everything is public now, including her original complaint, her responses to investigators' questions, her two 260- and 72-page "rebuttals" to the investigation. There are literally hundreds of pages that she herself wrote on this subject.
You'd think that in all of that - DIRECTLY FROM HER - that there'd be some kind of evidence. Any kind of evidence.
But there isn't.
There's a parallel here with the Big Lie. "If only someone would look hard enough for election fraud they would find something!!" But when people have looked, and looked, and looked... well, at some point you have to give up and accept it.
It's amazing what can be obtained by Sunshine Law requests. Per my question above, though, can you give Grant the emails between your lawyer and Cappelman after her Aug 24 "terms" that you said "go fuck yourself" to? Would like to see how she took that.
You are a bulldog, Grant! You never turn loose of a story!
This has Geatz and DeSantis all over it...
Any update on this?

Kind of makes you wonder, right?
Amazing piece Grant! Any chance you can try to find out what the response to the Aug 24 email was? Lots might have happened in the last two weeks?
She chose to go to trial. https://www.pnj.com/story/news/2022/09/08/rebekah-jones-turns-down-plea-deal-florida-department-health-computer-crime-case/8010354001/

If I could report more, it would be in this story.

The prosecutor commented on that in the story.

DeSantis will go after any perceived enemies, he has shown us who he is, and it’s ugly on the inside ..soul deep.
FDOH's inspector general works for Desantis. That's why he didn't find sufficient evidence

The original complaint has never been made public, "George"
It's still active with FCHR. But you know that. You're just a liar and a coward and you're losing.

Of course it was. FCHR #202126286, starts on page 35.
